On 23 and 25 January 2026, Catania will host a double cultural event of great historical and artistic value dedicated to Antonio Veneziano, a 16th-century Sicilian poet, a rebellious and controversial figure who is considered by many scholars to have been a possible source of inspiration for Miguel de Cervantes and his Don Quixote.
The initiative, entitled “Raju di Bellicza – The Last Flight of Antonio Veneziano”, will unfold through two distinct events, combining cultural insight and live performance:
Part of the proceeds from the event will be donated to Med.Action Bambini con Elias ODV, supporting medical and surgical missions dedicated to children living with congenital heart diseases in low-resource countries.
