What our support includes
For us, “to care” means taking care of the entire family unit.
The logistical and operational organisation behind this activity is complex and aims to relieve families of every burden, allowing them to focus solely on their child’s recovery journey.
- Travel and Logistics: Full coverage of international travel expenses and local transfers throughout Italy.
- Dignified Accommodation: Complete support, including meals and accommodation in protected facilities or dedicated host homes close to hospital centres, ensuring proximity, comfort and peace of mind.
- Protection and Safety: Management of all administrative procedures and activation of the necessary insurance coverage for the entire duration of the stay.
- Medical Support and Accompaniment: Constant presence of our staff members or volunteers during medical appointments, examinations and hospital stays at the centres of excellence we collaborate with.
- Psychosocial Support: Dedicated psychological assistance to support young patients and their parents through the challenges of hospitalisation and separation from their cultural environment.
From 2023 to today, our commitment has translated into real stories of hope. Between 2023 and 2025, we actively contributed to welcoming and organising medical care for 10 young patients.
Our mission knows no borders: we have reached out to children from vulnerable communities in Ethiopia and Eritrea, supported families arriving from South America, and responded promptly to needs arising within Italy itself.
Every child welcomed by Med.Action Bambini represents a new beginning and a testament to the power of international solidarity.
